Using reclaimed cassette tapes, participants will weave a personalised self-portrait alongside their name, a creative reminder that every individual has a role to play in caring for the planet.
Participants are required to send in a portrait of themselves 2 weeks before the workshop.
The session begins with a 15-minute introduction covering global waste issues, the impact of electronic waste, and the cultural history of cassette tapes. Enjoy an interactive Q&A, a special free gift, and a nostalgic Walkman listening experience before crafting your own piece.
Participants will:
- Learn about global waste challenges and electronic waste reduction
- Explore the history and cultural significance of cassette tapes
- Experience music through a classic Walkman
